Patent Suits – Apple, HTC, Google, M$, Nokia and Mobile Development
If anyone is wondering about the patent suits going around mobile devices, this may be a good primer on the firestorm brimming. As one mobile device maker (Apple) started suing others, the companies involved in the patent thicket seem to take sides and start filing lawsuits. Its almost like watching a mutually assured destruction.
However, it has brought out one point that I think important. If anyone is thinking about going into the mobile space, you may want to think about having your own patents in the thicket, licensing technology, or you could get sued out of existence.
